How does Set The Table Kitchen work?

Set the Table Kitchen is a fully inspected, commercial kitchen in Ancaster, Ontario. Our team is committed to offering a wide selection of prepared delicious meals, soups and treats.

What safety precautions are being taken with Covid-19?

At Set The Table Kitchen we continue to maintain the highest health and safety procedures when it comes to food safety and kitchen sanitization. Our staff are all certified food handlers. We monitor all our staff daily to ensure they are symptom-free from Covid-19. We are also offering contactless delivery and curbside pickup to limit interaction and ensure that physical distancing is in place. Learn more about our convenient pickup and delivery options. Please note that our delivery drivers will not enter any homes or units.

Our Food

Where are your meals prepared?

All meals are freshly prepared and cooked at our fully inspected, commercial kitchen in Ancaster, Ontario.

Are your meals delivered fresh or frozen?

Our freshly prepared meals are delivered fresh and allow you to “Be the Chef” by designing the meals you love and choosing what ends up on your plate. Our “Kitchen Classics” are frozen meals that are favourites our clients have loved over the years. All our soups are served frozen in either 16oz or 32-oz servings. Simply heat and enjoy! If you don’t plan to eat the fresh meals within five days of delivery they can be frozen for up to three months. Just be sure to follow the “Freeze By Date” indicated on the packaging.

How do I heat up my meals?

Each of our home cooked meals is individually sealed in eco-friendly, compostable packaging that can be heated in the oven or microwave. The packaging includes all the instructions you need, including approximate cooking times. Always be sure to cook your meals to an internal temperature of 74°C/165°F.

Do your menu items change?

Yes, our menu items change frequently to provide variety and take advantage of fresh, seasonal ingredients. We will, however, have some classic and customer favourites that remain on our menu.

Can my allergies be accommodated?

We will make every effort to avoid cross-contamination, however, it cannot be completely avoided as all of our meals are made on-site. In case of allergies, please contact us directly at nutrition@setthetablekitchen.ca.

Do you offer texture modified meals (i.e. chopped, minced, pureed)?

Yes! Please contact us directly at nutrition@setthetablekitchen.ca to discuss any texture modifications. A small fee may be added based on your requirements.

Where are the delicious desserts you offer from?

Most of the desserts we offer are sourced from Sweets From The Earth, a local, family-run all-natural vegan bakery using the finest 100% plant based, dairy and egg-free ingredients. To learn more, visit: sweetsfromtheearth.com

I am not a senior, can I still order your meals?

Yes! If you love fresh, delicious and convenient food then our fresh meal delivery service is for you!

Our Packaging

What type of packaging are your meals served in?

Our meals are individually sealed in eco-friendly, compostable packaging made of pulped paper that can be heated in the oven or microwave. The packaging is sourced from local Canadian company, SolPak.

Is your packaging oven and microwave safe?

Yes! Simply follow the instructions on the packaging to heat and enjoy. The meals can also be frozen in the same packaging and then reheated.

Online Ordering

What is the order deadline?

Place your order by Sunday each week and select a delivery day of Friday. Alternatively, you can choose a curbside pickup slot Friday from 12 pm - 5 pm at our kitchen in Ancaster.

Can I order meals for a loved one?

Yes, of course! Our meal service is a great way to ensure your loved one is well cared for. Ordering for a family or friend is easy! You can place an order online for pickup or for delivery to their home address.

Can I make changes or cancel my order once it has been placed?

Unfortunately, once your order has been placed we are unable to accommodate changes.

Menu Delivery

Is there a fee for delivery?

There is a minimum order of $75 to qualify for free delivery. For orders under $75, there is a $10 delivery fee. We currently deliver to select areas in Hamilton adding new areas as we grow

Do I have to be home to accept the delivery?

Ideally, someone will be available to receive your meals. If there is nobody available and there is a safe place to leave them, we will do so. Our delivery cooler bags & ice packs will keep your meals cold and we recommend refrigerating your meals within an hour of receiving your delivery. We will send a text message to let you know when your meal has been delivered.

I live in an apartment/condominium. How do you deliver here?

We prefer to deliver directly to your unit. Please provide all necessary information (including buzzer code and unit number) when you place your order.

Curbside Pickup

Where can I pick up my meals?

You can choose a curbside pickup slot is Friday from 12 pm - 5 pm at our kitchen in Ancaster - 1480 Sandhill Drive, Unit #3 Ancaster, Ontario L9G 4V5.

What safety measures are in place when I come to pick up my order?

When you arrive to pick up your order, simply call 905-648-8282. A Set The Table Kitchen team member will bring your order out and place it in your vehicle. It’s that easy!
